Konjac Sponge

The Konjac Sponge in its dry form will seem very hard and abrasive, but the magic occurs when you soak with warm water to soften the fibres!

The initial wetting of the konjac sponge may take a minute or so to fully absorb and become as soft as a cloud. We recommend using hot or warm water rather than cold water as this will help make the texture of the sponge softer.

Once the sponge is soft gently squeeze out excess water. You can use the konjac sponge on its own or with a small amount of our Ocean Botanicals Cleanser for an even deeper clean.

Massage the sponge over your face and neck in small circular motions, being careful to be gentle around your eyes.

Thoroughly rinse the sponge after use and gently press out any excess water. Then hang in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight to dry. Please note the sponge will shrink and harden again once dry.

The sponge is gentle enough to be used daily.

As the konjac sponge is a natural fibre it will begin to break down over time. Your sponge should last 2-3 months depending on usage.

We recommend sterilising the sponge in boiling water for 1-2 minutes, then hanging to dry every one to two weeks. Please use caution when handling the hot sponge and ensure it has cooled to a safe temperature before using.
