Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Extract – Avocado oil is well known for being an excellent source of skin-replenishing fatty acids, including omega-3 linolenic acid, omega-6 linoleic acid, oleic acid, and beta sitosterol. Ocean Botanicals Day Cream

Chondrus Crispus (Red Algae) Extract – A potent extract derived from red seaweed it contains the complex polysaccharide of carrageenan. Carrageenan promotes plump and supple skin by enhancing the skin’s hydration throughout the day. It also has soothing and anti-inflammatory effects making it perfect for people with sensitive skin, with properties that can help mitigate irritation and reduce the appearance of redness. Studies suggest Chondrus Crispus Extract can also help shield your skin from the visible effects of pollutants, environmental stressors and blue light exposure.

Chlorella Vulgaris (Green Microalgae) Extract - This microscopic seaweed is rich in chlorophyll, which is renowned for its detoxifying and anti-aging properties. Chlorella Vulgaris Extract is also packed with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, peptides and amino acids. It has been shown to help stimulate collagen production, protect from free radical damage and oxidative stress and reduce inflammation. These all reduce the signs of ageing, by smoothing the appearance of fine lines, promoting a brighter more youthful looking completion and soothing inflammation.

Ocean Botanicals Cleanser - Apply a small amount to hand or softened konjac sponge. Gently massage face and neck in small circular motions. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry. Follow with your favourite serum and/or moisturiser.

Ocean Botanicals Day Cream - Apply a small amount to cleansed skin, and after serum if using. Massage gently until absorbed.

Konjac Sponge - The Konjac Sponge in its dry form will seem very hard and abrasive, but the magic occurs when you soak with warm water to soften the fibres!

The initial wetting of the konjac sponge may take a minute or so to fully absorb and become as soft as a cloud. We recommend using hot or warm water rather than cold water as this will help make the texture of the sponge softer.

Once the sponge is soft gently squeeze out excess water. You can use the konjac sponge on its own or with a small amount of our Ocean Botanicals Cleanser for an even deeper clean.

Massage the sponge over your face and neck in small circular motions, being careful to be gentle around your eyes.

Thoroughly rinse the sponge after use and gently press out any excess water. Then hang in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight to dry. Please note the sponge will shrink and harden again once dry.

The sponge is gentle enough to be used daily.

As the konjac sponge is a natural fibre it will begin to break down over time. Your sponge should last 2-3 months depending on usage.

We recommend sterilising the sponge in boiling water for 1-2 minutes, then hanging to dry every one to two weeks. Please use caution when handling the hot sponge and ensure it has cooled to a safe temperature before using.
